The Authors Luncheon will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club, 26772 Avery Pkwy. Mission Viejo, CA .
Directions: Exit 5 freeway at Avery Pkwy. Head East ¼ mile to the Arroyo Trabuco Golf Club. Entrance will be on your left. Make an immediate left into parking lot.

Judith Freeman is a novelist, essayist, and short story writer. Her first work of non-fiction, "The Long Embrace: Raymond Chandler and The Woman He Loved", was published in 2007. Her first published writing was a collection of short stories, entitled "Family Attractions", which was praised by the New York Times and the New York Review of Books for its originality. Her other novels include "The Chinchilla Farm", "Set For Life", "A Desert of Pure Feeling", and most recently, "Red Water", named one of the 100 best books of 2002 by the Los Angeles Times. Acclaimed with other honors, she is the recipient of the John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship in fiction, and she also won the Western Heritage Award for the novel "Set For Life". Her essays, reviews, and short stories have appeared in numerous magazines, journals, and national newspapers. She lives in Los Angeles and rural Idaho with her husband, artist-photographer Anthony Hernandez

Sheila Lowe, a writer who uniquely draws upon her handwriting analysis expertise, is author of acclaimed fiction and non-fiction books, including "Handwriting of the Famous and Infamous", "Complete Idiots Guide to Handwriting Analysis", and the Forensic Handwriting Mystery series. Her first mystery novel, "Poison Pen", received a starred review from Publisher's Weekly and won a best prize in Best Books U.S.A. She uses her graphology skills to lead Detective Claudia Rose on a quest to solve the murders. Her novel, "Written in Blood", was on the independent Booksellers Association's top ten books list. In addition, as a 40-years experienced court-qualified handwriting analyst, her award-winning software on hand writing analysis is used around the world. Born in London, and now a resident of the Los Angeles area, Ms. Lowe has B.A. and M.A. degrees in psychology. In addition to her professional work with varied clientele, she has written numerous articles for bar association journals and served on the Board of Directors of the Handwriting Analysis Foundation.

David Rosenfelt, mystery writer and animal lover, describes himself as a novelist with 32 dogs, mostly Golden Retrievers. His home has become a sanctuary for dogs too old or sickly to be wanted by others. Under the auspices of the Tara Foundation, which he and his wife started and named after a beloved Golden Retriever, he has rescued almost 4,000 dogs and found them loving homes. David Rosenfelt is the Edgar and Shamus-nominated author of the Andy Carpenter mystery series, featuring an attorney and lover of Golden Retrievers. His novels include "Play Dead", "Dead Center", "First Degree", "Open and Shut", "Down to the Wire", "Dog Tags", and his new book "New Tricks". A native of New Jersey and graduate of New York University, Rosenfelt was the marketing president for Tri-Star Pictures before becoming a writer of novels and screenplays. He, his wife, and dogs live in Orange County.
