The San Clemente Friends Bookstore is beloved by its regular customers. "My bookstore," is how one frequent patron refers to it. This reporter acknowledges her bias, but the truth is, she can't walk in the door without dropping some cash. The good news is, it's always just a few bucks for an armload of books!
The bookstore is currently overflowing with books (literally)! You will find a book to suit almost any reading preference: crime, military history, romance, western, politics, children's books, and serious literary classics for those wishing to catch up on ones they "have always meant to read."
And be sure never to miss the First Sunday Sales (first Sunday of each month)! There are always special books brought out of storage for these sales. You just might need to rent a U-Haul!
The Friends of the Library Bookstore is the primary source of income for special projects and services to our library. We are currently "running short" of volunteers and could use some new faces to help fill up the bookstore shift calendar. New or returning volunteers who could work a couple of three hour shifts a month would greatly help. Come join us, get time to shop for your own book treasures, and meet some new friends!
